There are a number of weekly meetings, discussion groups and seminars that may be of interest to students who are participating in the program.
Language Discussion Group
The Cognitive Science of Language Program officially sponsors the Language Discussion Group. This meets on Mondays from 4:00 - 5:00 in SLP 101. It is run by Christine Shea (Spanish and Portuguese) and there is an email list. Contact christine-shea@uiowa.edu(link sends e-mail) for more information.
Other Events
Other relevant meetings and presentations are offered by the various groups and centers and centers that participate in the program. These include

- The Psychological and Brain Sciences Brown Bag Series (Wednesdays, 11:30 - 12:30)
- Psychological and Brain Sciences Departmental Colloquia (Fridays, 3:30 – 5:00)
- Linguistics Department Colloquia (Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:00)
- The DeLTA Center Meetings (Fridays, 9:00 – 10:30)
- Communication Sciences and Disorders Department Proseminar (Fridays, 12:00 - 1:00)
For many of these, there are associated mailing lists which can keep you informed of the latest events and happenings.
